This year, we are celebrating 45 years in hospitality. All year long we are highlighting some key moments in our history, showcasing some of our incredible people, and putting the spotlight on some other leading names and businesses that make hospitality our home. Today, we are sharing the first in our Director Spotlight series.

Our project directors are vital to the success of our teams, and they are often managing several teams working on different projects. In our first feature, we are highlighting Brandi Biller. Brandi has been with Beyer Brown for almost 7 years, and in that time has grown to the role of a Project Director. Her extensive knowledge and experience stretches across many types of projects including boutique, luxury, independent, and major branded properties. Here is what Brandi had to say looking back at where she started, and her thoughts on working in hospitality.

How long have you been working with Beyer Brown?

I’ve been in the hospitality industry for over 10 years, but I started at Beyer Brown in August of 2016. Hard to believe I’m coming up on 7 years.

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I started as a Project coordinator in 2016, working on 1-2 projects. Fast forward 3 years in 2019, I worked my way up and now I am 1 of 3 project directors, overseeing 12 team members.

Can you tell us a few details about the favorite part of your job?

I love the opportunity I have to build relationships with so many different people in the industry. Everything in our industry is always growing and changing with time, so I’m always learning new things and being challenged. One of the most rewarding parts of my job though is leading my team and watching them grow as project managers. I love working alongside good people, who are just as passionate and motivated as myself.

What’s unique about working for Beyer Brown?

The fun/positive company culture, a place of constant support, and there really is a lot of room for growth and opportunity.

What skill do you think everyone should learn?

Communication and problem solving.

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

Forgive generously and always know your worth.

What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out?

I have my degree in Sports Exercise Science and when I was younger, I wanted to grow up to be a Sport Nutritionist.

What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching?

The Sinner, on Netflix

We hope that helped you get to know us and our team a little bit more! Thank you for joining us, and look out for the next part of our series later this year.
