FF&E Procurement for a Historic Fort Collins Boutique Hotel
Located in the heart of Old Town Fort Collins, The Armstrong Hotel blends historic character with the warmth of a neighborhood gathering place. As the city’s only independent hotel in the district, the property reflects the spirit of the surrounding community while offering guests a comfortable and distinctive place to stay. The hotel has also been recognized with a One Key distinction in the MICHELIN Guide, honoring properties that provide exceptional experiences and a strong connection to their setting.
Our scope included FF&E procurement for the model room and guest rooms. The project focused on supporting the hotel’s historic charm while introducing furnishings that meet modern hospitality standards.

The model room served as the starting point for the guest room refresh. It allowed the project team to confirm finishes, furniture scale, and layout details before the broader rollout across the property. This step ensured that the selected furnishings complemented the building’s historic character while meeting the practical needs of daily hotel operations.
Careful sourcing and vendor coordination helped maintain consistency across guest rooms while preserving the individuality that defines a boutique independent hotel.
Guest Rooms with Historic Character

Guest rooms at The Armstrong reflect the property’s long-standing place in Fort Collins. Furnishings were selected to complement the architecture and historic atmosphere while offering the comfort travelers expect today.
Materials, textures, and finishes were chosen to feel warm and approachable, consistent with the hotel’s welcoming personality. At the same time, furnishings needed to perform reliably in a busy downtown environment with steady guest turnover.
Preserving Character While Refreshing Comfort
Independent hotels often become part of the local story. They reflect the personality of the neighborhood and often serve as gathering places for both visitors and residents. Guests choose them not only for a place to stay but for the opportunity to experience the culture, history, and character of the surrounding community. In a location like Old Town Fort Collins, the hotel becomes an extension of the district itself, offering a sense of place that feels genuine and connected.
At The Armstrong Hotel, preserving that connection was an important part of the guest room refresh. The goal was to retain the property’s historic charm while introducing furnishings that support modern hospitality standards. Materials, finishes, and furniture selections were chosen to complement the building’s architecture and long-standing character without feeling overly modern or out of place.
The updated guest rooms continue to reflect the welcoming spirit that has defined the hotel for decades. At the same time, the new furnishings provide the comfort, durability, and functionality guests expect today. The result is a guest experience that feels true to Fort Collins while supporting the everyday performance needed in a busy downtown boutique hotel.
