FF&E Procurement for a Mediterranean-Inspired Business Resort
Located in Conejo Valley, minutes from Malibu and northwest of Los Angeles, Hyatt Regency Westlake blends business functionality with a relaxed, resort-like atmosphere. The property serves corporate travelers, group meetings, and leisure guests seeking proximity to Southern California’s coastal destinations.
Our scope included FF&E procurement for 259 guest rooms and public areas. The renovation aimed to refresh the property’s Mediterranean character while supporting the flexibility modern travelers expect.

Guest room procurement focused on creating environments that transition seamlessly from workspace to restful retreat. Furnishings, lighting, and finishes were selected to align with Hyatt brand standards while reinforcing the property’s warm, coastal aesthetic.
Attention was given to material durability and performance in a high occupancy business setting. Detailed specification review and vendor coordination ensured casegoods, seating, and soft goods met both visual expectations and long-term operational needs.
Clear communication throughout production and delivery helped maintain alignment with renovation milestones and budget objectives.
Guest Rooms

Guest rooms reflect a warm Mediterranean palette with furnishings suited for both work and relaxation. Procurement focused on finish consistency, durability, and brand alignment.
Public Spaces

Public areas in a hybrid business and leisure property must serve multiple functions. Meeting spaces, communal gathering areas, and dining environments require furnishings that support both productivity and relaxation.
Procurement activities were managed to align with construction sequencing and event calendars, minimizing disruption while maintaining consistent quality standards. The goal was to create a cohesive environment across guest rooms and shared spaces without sacrificing operational efficiency.
FF&E Procurement for a Business-Driven Southern California Resort
Hotels that serve both corporate and leisure demand must strike a careful balance. Business travelers expect efficiency, functional workspaces, and consistency. Leisure guests look for comfort, atmosphere, and a sense of escape. Guest rooms and public spaces must accommodate both without feeling compromised. Comfort, flexibility, and presentation all influence guest perception and, ultimately, long term asset performance.
Procurement decisions therefore required consideration of durability, layout adaptability, and finish consistency. Furnishings needed to support productivity during the day and relaxation in the evening. Public areas had to function for meetings and informal gatherings while maintaining a cohesive visual identity.
Through thoughtful sourcing and steady oversight, the renovation delivered refreshed interiors that feel current yet grounded in the property’s Mediterranean character. Clear communication with vendors and stakeholders helped maintain alignment with budget and timeline objectives. The updated Hyatt Regency Westlake now offers a cohesive experience that supports brand standards while meeting the evolving expectations of today’s traveler.
